Accountability

Business Points of Performance [BiZPoP #2]:  Accountability

Video Length:  5:48
There are days when you just don’t want to tackle something that’s in front of you or that you promised to do. Sometimes it’s easier to get motivated and do what needs to be done if it’s for someone else, a deadline is looming, or it’s really bothering you. But, even that may not be motivating enough.

It’s important to ask yourself it it’s okay to shrug it off, leave it for another day or time. And it may be okay. It may just be fatigue and there may be a time to do it later. But what if you may be disappointing others or, maybe, even yourself. Do you feel any additional burden of obligation that will just weigh you down.

Is the walk away from commitment one that you can do … and still feel good?

Here’s the thing then …

It’s always better to honor a commitment if it’s at all possible to do so. It’s sometimes a ‘pull yourself up by the bootstraps’ moment. In all instances, you’ll feel so good for honoring your commitment. If you don’t want to do it for others, do it for yourself for that might be the best reason yet.
